Tara D'Mello Kamath, LMFT—Compassionate & Social Justice-Oriented Therapist

Helping individuals, couples, and families heal and grow.

Meet Tara (she/her)

Hello! I’m Tara D'Mello Kamath, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal and grow.

I believe trauma—whether inherited or experienced—shapes our beliefs, behaviors, and relationships. Through self-awareness, compassion, and intentional healing, we can break free from conditioned patterns and step into a more conscious, aligned, and fulfilling life. My work blends therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy with mindfulness and spiritual exploration, empowering clients to reconnect with their inner wisdom and embrace meaningful change.

Originally from India, I lived in Singapore before moving to San Diego, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology. I later completed my Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy at Drexel University, where I deepened my passion for social justice and healing work.

Starting therapy takes courage, and I’m honored to support you on your journey. If my approach resonates with you, reach out—I’d love to connect!
